As an orthodontic specialist, Dr. Coker has enjoyed his Spotsylvania County and Fredericksburg practice since 1984. Before moving to the Fredericksburg area, he practiced general dentistry in Danville, Kentucky for 4 years.

Dr. Coker is a firm believer in the benefits of continuing education for himself and his staff. Dr. Coker has a special interest in cleft palate therapy, early treatment for children, adult orthodontics, and orthognathic (jaw) surgery which has enabled his practice to enjoy a unique, place in the community.

Dr. Coker has enjoyed serving as a charter member and President of The Fredericksburg-Rappahannock Rotary Club, as a Board Member of Hospice, Y.M.C.A., Stafford Youth Baseball Association, and as Campaign Chairman (1994), and President (1995-1996) of the Rappahannock United Way. Dr. Coker was Senior Warden and a vestry person for St. George's Episcopal Church, and Chairman of the Stafford County Parks and Recreation Bond Referendum which successfully passed in 1994. Dr. Coker was nominated and selected to carry the 1996 Olympic Torch through the Fredericksburg area.

John and Linda Coker are the parents of one son,Tug and two daughters, Lindsay and Lorie. They reside in Fredericksburg. The family enjoys many outdoor activities including soccer, golf- tennis, bicycling, and basketball.

Our staff members are highly skilled, caring, personnel with high professional standards who assist the doctor with the care of our patients.
